Merry Christmas....

We can't thank God enough for the continued miracles and gifts this Hoilday season!

Jimmy continues to shine bright the true meaning for the season. He had a wonderful Christmas, getting the opportunity to open gifts on his own (pulling almost all the wrapping off by himself), singing Christmas songs and even eating Christmas cookies. He thanks all the friends and families for the Christmas cards and cant wait for everyone to celebrate with him soon.

While having dinner Christmas eve (stuffing and gravy), Jimmy fed himself a few bites, slowly moving his arm up to his mouth. He also grabbed his orange juice (with some help) and lifted it to his lips. He is starting to preform small takes and helps assist the nurses when moving him to and from his wheelchair. He communicates more with the nursing staff, letting them know how he feels and what he wants, by nodding and whispering words. Still working on strengthening his arms and legs, but will soon start water therapy in a heated pool to build those muscles. His speech is still improving every day and he is working on using his vocal cords, but whispers many words and a few sentences. Jimmy really enjoys laughing and always has the biggest smile on his face when you walk into his room. The Courage Center has a computer room and we have shown Jimmy his Facebook messages from friends and family. He is able to read and loves looking at pictures and watching videos.

We could not ask for a better Christmas present than the gift of life and sharing it with our loved ones. Soon enough we will all be together, celebrating the amazing miracles God has given us all.

Thank you for all the prayers, love and support for Jimmy!

God bless you during this Holiday season!

Happy Holidays.... Praise God for the many gifts we have been given!

Jimmy continues to be a shining light for God's kingdom! Many more amazing miracles everyday!

This past week, Jimmy (James) was moved to the Courage Center in Golden Valley! Praise God! The Courage Center is an empowering facility that will help with extra physical therapy, along with speech and fine motor activities. Jimmy will also be given the opportunity to participate in water therapy, helping him build more strength in his muscles. More info....  www.couragecenter.org

Jimmy is getting strong everyday, physically and mentally. He now remembers almost all memories up until a few weeks before his accident. We have shown many pictures to him of friends and family and he remembers every ones names. He has been laughing at goofy memories and shows many more emotions. His speech is growing and can say few words more clear and short sentences. He is starting to make small decisions on his own, including what he wants to eat and how he is feeling. His smile always continues to shine and his eyes can just tell you stories. Jimmy is eating more solid foods, including mashed potatoes, veggies and stews, with assistance.  Jimmy's strong faith and determination continues to bring awe to his nurses and doctors. He has been given so many incredible miracles and we cant thank everyone enough for your prayers, faith and love.

Please keep Jimmy in your prayers during the Holidays and know that we will all be together again very soon!

God bless!

Jimmy contiunes to shine with miracles...

This past week, Jimmy continues to progress in his recovery daily. He is able to be wheeled around the hospital more, involving in more activities with other patients, including movie watching, physical therapy and going to the small hospital chapel for church. The therapists are very impressed with his continued progression. Physical therapy has been standing him up a little to help build his leg muscles and working with his arms for more movement. Jimmy is now starting to eat some soft foods, including peaches, ice cream, mashed potatoes and drinking milk from a glass with assistance. He is still working on strengthening his arms and needs help being fed, but Praise God for eating some foods now. His voice is still coming back and he whisperers several words and a few sentences. He remembers all his family and friends by name and now remembers almost all memories up until the end of June this past summer. The miracles continue to progress and continue to thank and praise God for the many more to come!

The impossible is just a word for others not to try and with God alone all things are possible! Jimmy has shown us all that the impossible is possible if you believe!

Praise and Thank you God for the many miracles!

God bless  :)

The Miracle continues...

Jimmy has been making tremendous progress. This past week he was moved down to the Brain-rehab floor at Bethesda and is able to be wheeled around to watch TV with other patients. He is maintaining all vitals on his own and is starting to drink water and eat applesauce. On Sunday, Jimmy was starting to get his voice back. He knew many memories including family and friends and even remembered the mission trip he went on in June. Jimmy sang several songs, including "God gave me you" and his favorite Karaoke song "Sheri", mouthing almost all the words. His throat is still sore from taking the trake out and his wound is healing up very well. He is able to move his arms and legs and helps the nursing staff move him around. He really enjoys smiling and his eyes just want to tell us stories. It won't be too long until he will be talking again and able to gain strength in his arms and legs to preform small tasks.

Praise God, Praise God, Praise God!! Jimmy is a true miracle and his recovery continues to progress! We could not believe the progress he has been making and continue to thank God for the unending miracles!

Our prayers have been answered and we continue to pray for a full Holy Spirit Recovery!Make sure to continue to thank and praise God for everything in our lives!

God bless!

We have lots to be thankful for this year!

Praising and thanking God for his miracles!

Make sure to given God thanks and praise for everything in our lives. Jimmy has been given so many miracles, words can not even describe how thankful we all our for the blessings that have been poured out from God for Jimmy's recovery.

Jimmy is currently in the Brain re-hab floor at Bethesda Hospital, which is a miracle in itself. The therapists have been very impressed with his interactions and he is starting to communicate with some words and movements. He moves his arms and legs on command and loves helping out the nurses by moving around for them. He has gained some of his muscle back and loves to play arm wrestling with his sister. He is so happy when he sees his family and loves smiling, until his cheeks hurt and start quivering. His big brown eyes want to tell us stories and he has been working on his vocabulary with the speech therapists.

Jimmy has a picture book in his room, with pictures all his friends, family and loved ones. The nurses enjoy showing him the pictures for him to remember everyone and all the amazing memories he has had with us all. We all cant wait for the many memories to come and want to thank you all so very much for the wonderful support and prayers. God has definitely answered our prayers and has given us lots to be thankful for this year. Being cold season has come, the family has requested no visitors, in hopes that James will get strong and healthy enough to be with us all very soon. Please continue to pray for Jimmy and know that he can hear and feel our prayers, even when were not by his side.

Be sure to give God thanks and praise for the amazing miracle! May you all have a blessed thanksgiving and Holiday weekend!

God bless!

Currently, his family has requested no visitors at the time, in hopes to get more detail through his Caring Bridge. God has definitely heard our prayers and we thank God everyday for the amazing miracle he has given Jimmy. We will soon all be able to be together again, showing Jimmy our smiling faces and determination for his recovery. We can't thank everyone enough for the amazing support, medical advice and prayers. We all know the amazing people that stand behind Jimmy, and how he has impacted many lives. He has many family and friends in the Medical field and prayer teams that would like to volunteer there time in helping out in anyway needed, extra rehab would be wonderful for the mind and spirit. The power of touch, love and compassion are so important in the healing process.

As of now, Jimmy is on over 50 church prayer lists, has prayer teams at all school districts in the surrounding areas including Ridge Water College and St. Cloud Alumni, and a prayer chain starting at 7pm every night. We want to thank everyone again for the amazing support you have given and continue to give Jimmy and his family during his recovery. Words can't describe the miracle God has already given us and make sure to give him thanks and praise for everything in our lives.

Please keep Jimmy in your prayers and Jesus in your heart!

The healing power of Jesus...

“And their prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make them well. And anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven. Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results.”
   ~James 5:15-16

He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them.
~Mark 6:5

At sunset, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying his hands on each one, he healed them.
~Luke 4:39-41

“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly[f] I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”
  ~ Mark 11:22-26

“He replied, ‘The LORD, before whom I have walked faithfully, will send his angel with you and make your journey a success."
~Genesis 24:40
